Health Information technology

Physician offices have an opportunity under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) of 2009 to obtain financial support for adoption of electronic health records (EHRs) and CAFP has put together the tools and resources to help you do so. Federal incentive payments will be available to providers when they adopt EHRs and demonstrate "meaningful use."

Electronic Health Records Implementation Tools

CAFP has gathered information on vendor selection and contracting as well as readiness assessment tools and determinants of EHR-implementation success.

Meaningful Use Tools

Meaningful use is often cited as a challenging quality reporting system by our members. Take the time to understand how to use certified electronic health record (EHR) technology to engage patients and family, improve care coordination and public health.

Regional Extension Centers

ARRA created a system of Regional Extension Centers (RECs) charged with helping priority primary care clinicians (PPCPs) select, implement and use an EHR. Click here for information on the REC and LEC program in an ebook.
